With Thanksgiving around the corner, Lyford CISD and SFE (Southwest Foodservice Excellence), are preparing to celebrate our yearly Thanksgiving Luncheon. This year ticket purchases can be made online and/or in-person at the Business Office located in the Lincoln-Lee Administrative Annex (7:30am to 4:30pm) from Tuesday, November 4, 2025, through Wednesday November 12, 2025. Online tickets may be purchased online starting today, using the following link.

Lyford Consolidated Independent School District is now accepting nominations for students who may qualify for Gifted & Talented Services. This program is designed for students who exhibit intellectual and creative thinking abilities at an extraordinary level. Services are provided upon identification of educational needs of the student. Anyone wishing to nominate a student attending Lyford CISD in Kindergarten through Eleventh (11th) Grade must complete forms by Monday, January 5, 2026. This Friday's game originally scheduled to be played at Bulldog Stadium against Progreso has been cancelled.
In place, our Dogs will be playing this Wednesday, October 29th against Harlingen South JV starting at 5:30PM. Game will be played at Bulldog Stadium in Lyford. Tickets will be available at the gate and online.

New Cell Phone Law for Texas Students A new state law will impact student cell phone use starting in the 2025–2026 school year. Texas House Bill 1481, signed by Governor Greg Abbott on June 20, 2025, includes the following: -Students may not use cell phones inside school buildings during instructional hours. -All Texas public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools must adopt and enforce policies to comply. Lyford CISD is currently reviewing our district policies to meet these new requirements. More details will be shared before the start of the school year so our families can prepare.
