Chapter 313 Agreements

Chapter 313 of the Texas Tax Code allows a school district and a property owner to enter into an appraised value limitation agreement for specific types of real and personal property worth a certain amount. This type of agreement allows the business/tax payer to build or install property and create jobs in exchange for an eight-year limitation on the taxable property value for school district maintenance and operations tax (M&O).
